Rebecca Brice Henderson

owner and agent

As the owner of Santa’s Vagabond Travel, I enjoy the balance of working directly with travel clients as well as cultivating a successful and fun office environment. The past 25 years of working in the travel industry has taught me only that the world is too big and time too short.  I love that no travel project is too complicated or daunting, but rather an opportunity to learn.  There is no better gift than to love your job, the people you work with and the clients that walk in the door.

Becky Litzinger

agent

I’ve been helping travelers see the world for 26 years. I truly believe in our “product”, having had the opportunity to book and travel to many interesting places, including Europe, China, the American continent, Iceland, South Pacific, and Australia. I’m a certified Aussie specialist, but if you ask the girls in the office I’m also a specialist in visas, Russia, insurance and anything else complicated! Let me put my extensive knowledge and experience to work for you.

Carolyn French

agent

I consider myself a true Alaskan having spent the last 65 years in this wonderful state.  It was a pleasure to own Santa’s Travel for 23 years.  I enjoy immensely working alongside the most delightful and diligent travel agents in Fairbanks.  I have spent the last year ‘practicing’ for retirement and feel that it will become a full time pursuit one day very soon.  Until that very last day, you’ll find me in the office one or two days a week, assisting new clients with their travel needs, as well as providing travel expertise to the clients-turned-friends that I have had the privilege of serving throughout my career.

Tesa Groesbeck

agent

I am a life-long Alaskan, and have spent the last 14 years with my family in the Fairbanks and North Pole communities.  I’ve been a travel agent for the past 8 years and in that time I’ve visited the Caribbean islands, Hawaii, Disney World, Las Vegas, Mexico and Spain - giving me firsthand knowledge of the top hot spots requested by our clients. My specialties include Alaska travel, cruising, and Disney World just to name a few. I would love to share my ideas and experiences with you to help make your next trip an unforgettable one.

“We live in a wonderful world that is full of beauty, charm and adventure.  There is no end to the adventures we can have if only we see them with our eyes open”

Darlene Shultz

agent

I joined the team at Santa’s Vagabond Travel in June, bringing with me 22 years of travel expertise from Sunshine Travel.  As a military wife, my travels have led me far and wide.  I have lived in Taiwan, Alabama, Utah, Anchorage, Italy and California.  My life-long travel experiences have given me an inside glimpse of all the world has to offer travelers and explorers alike.  Some of my personal adventures include skiing in Switzerland, Octoberfest in Munich, Carnivale in Venice, the Zugspitza in Garmish, and the stunning Neuschwanstein Castle nestled in the mountains of southern Germany.  I have cruised the waters of Mexico, the Caribbean and even the Panama Canal.  Travel inside Alaska is also a favorite pastime for me.  My history includes a stint as a motorcoach driver between the Fairbanks and Skagway! I can add to my list of adventures driving the Alcan, flying by floatplane into Katmai, and visits to Alaskan villages such as Bettles and King Salmon.  I enjoy time with my husband, Mike (Fairbanks’s most beloved weatherman) and my 2 children and 2 grandchildren.

“Life is either a daring adventure or nothing.”

Kinzea Jones

agent assistant and girl friday

I was born right here in Fairbanks, and this town without a doubt is where my heart is. I love that I can head out of town on a Friday and within two hours be surrounded by wilderness in Denali National Park on some of my favorite hiking trails. When I am not working at the travel agency I am working as a paramedic and teaching for the University of Alaska Fairbanks. I love the customer service and support aspect of all my jobs, and helping the agents with planning dream vacations always puts me in the best mood! This spring I will be out on the Yukon Quest for ten days helping to break trail in front of the world-class dog sled teams.

"Travel makes one modest. You see what a tiny place you occupy in the world"

~Gustave Flaubert

Kris Kringle

destination consultant, delivery specialist

I have the pleasure of working with the wonderful folks at SVT for part of the year and doing some traveling at other times.  As an open-air travel specialist, I have extensive knowledge of all parts of the world as well as experience in unusual and unforgettable ways of getting there. My favorite travel destinations include all the nice spots I can find. Sometimes that means going to the same places year after year. At other times those spots deserve to be skipped and I find new ones. I think the best ingredients for a great holiday are tried and true travel companions, a crisp and clear winter night, and an open heart to try new destinations.
